Appointment of Miss Ada CHOI and Mr Joe MA as
new e-Cert ambassadors to promote the ease of
using e-Cert
Hongkong Post
has appointed Miss Ada CHOI and Mr. Joe MA as
the new e-Cert ambassadors on 1 Aug 2004. Together
with Hongkong Post, they will help promote the
adoption and benefits of e-Cert in the coming
year.

On 1 Aug,
our Acting Postmaster General, Mrs. Joanna CHOI
and the new e-Cert ambassadors explained the
details of using e-Cert in the e-Cert Promotion
Day and e-Cert Ambassadors Appointment Ceremony
at Maritime Square, Tsing Yi. The event has successfully
aroused the attention of the public and the press.
Mrs. CHOI, Ada and Joe shared their Internet
surfing experiences and common concerns about
Internet security. Mrs. CHOI pointed out two
major benefits of e-Cert:
- Two-factor
Authentication Tool: Using e-Cert in login
authentication requires both the e-Cert and
a password.
- e-Cert
can ensure confidentiality and Integrity in
data transmission over the Internet.
In other words,
we no longer have to worry about unauthorized
access of personal information and online identity
theft. We can now enjoy various convenient online
services with a peace of mind!
