3a. Three steps to use e-Cert on smart ID card

To enjoy secure online services with e-Cert on smart ID card, you need a smart card reader and associated software. It is easy to start in three steps:

1 Purchase a smart card reader   Purchase online Purchase at e-Cert counters in smart ID card centres Purchase at designated post offices Install smart card reader and software All smart card readers pack purchased from Hongkong Post will contain an installation CD. Just follow the instructions and complete the installation of the required software:   Smart card reader driver e-Cert Control Manager 2 3 Open the "e-Cert Control Manger" software and register your e-Cert in Internet Explorer.
